Growing Fast!!

Hey Everyone,

Ella had another Dr. appointment this morning and she is doing very well. The jaundice is going away and she is already up to 8.2 lbs!! She is eating well and seeming to stay awake for longer stretches during the days so that hopefully she'll sleep a little more at night (which is when she likes to be up : )

Settling in

Hey Everyone,

Just thought I'd give you an update today. Ella saw Dr. Bart this morning and is doing pretty well. Like most newborns, she's working through a little jaundice and has to get some more blood taken from her heal tomorrow to test her out. It has been a rough couple days getting adjusted to the new schedule but we know that God is leading us through and providing all we need.

We would like to ask that if you'd like to visit, to please wait till later next week so Shea and Ella have time to settle in to a routine, get some more sleep and figure out when the best time for people to come over will be. Here's another picture of Ella when she was getting weighed. She has been doing great tonight and has had lots of visitors. She has been nursing, sleeping and she hardly cries at all. She is very content. So far she likes her hands better than her pacifier and enjoys having her head rubbed. Happy Valentines Day, and Happy Birthday Ella!!!!

Coming Soon

We know it's been a very long time since we updated Ella's blog. We are excited to let you know that she is coming very soon. Her due date was today 2/10/06. Shea had an appointment with the Dr. today who said things were coming along very well. He said there was an 80% chance that she would have the baby this weekend. If she doesn't, we have an appointment for Shea to be induced on Tuesday morning February 14th, at 7:30 AM. Stay tuned for the next exciting announcement.
